Jahrom Gas-Fueled Power Plant is 20% complete
Construction works of the building of the Jahrom Gas-Fueled Power Plant is now 20 percent complete. The project started in the past autumn, the project manager Mohammad-Reza Qalambor said adding that two of the power plant turbines have already been delivered to the project site.
The power plant, being built in the city of Jahrom, in Fars Province will be also capable of using diesel as its secondary fuel, he announced.
“Based on schedule, we are trying to prepare two of the power plant units before the peak consumption season next year so that we would be able to send the power to the national grid then,” the Persian service of IRNA quoted the project manager as saying on Monday.
The 159-megawatt gas turbines of the power plant are being built by an Iranian manufacturer.
